Sławomir Giziński

Sławomir Giziński – professor of the veterinary faculty at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences, habilitated doctor of agricultural sciences in the discipline of veterinary medicine. He graduated from the Veterinary Faculty of SGGW in 1996. In the same year, he began doctoral studies in the field of diseases of dogs and cats at the Department of Animal Reproduction and Clinic. In 2002, he defended his doctoral thesis entitled "Concentration of ovarian steroids and expression of their receptors and the Ki-67 antigen in mammary gland tumors in female dogs", for which he received the award of the Rector of SGGW. In 2007, he obtained the title of Animal Reproduction Specialist at PIW in Puławy. In 2021, he received the degree of habilitated doctor for his entire achievements. He has been a research and teaching employee of the Animal Reproduction Department of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences for over 25 years. Author of numerous scientific works. In his clinical work, he provides consultations in the fields of reproductive pathology, andrology, general oncology, and oncological surgery of companion animals. He has been working at Dermawet since the first day the office was established. Privately, he is a proud father of an only child. The professor's greatest passion is ornithological trips and observation of rare bird species, as well as trips to the Vistula, Bug, and Biebrza meadows to observe breeding colonies.
